Metopi offers a range of services to prepare its customers to the highest degree of readiness for the implementation of the Contingency Plan at any time and be alert to respond immediately and effectively to Pollution Incidents from Ships and Vessels that may occur.
Our company has an important role to play by providing technical and scientific assistance and training as follows:
- Inspection, operational arrangement, repair if needed, and re-assembly of all the client Organisation’s marine Antipollution Response Equipment.
The above actions are carried out with the aim to secure the operational readiness of the client Organisation as well as the verification of the «good condition» of the equipment in order to issue the Certificate provided by the current legislation to the Local Authorities
- On-site theoretical and practical training of the client Organisation’s antipollution team. The team training includes an antipollution exercise in the field by dropping and mooring Oil Booms at one of the client Organisation’s port facility
- Metopi has invested in its own antipollution equipment with the aim to support its customers with additional means in case of incident
- Instructions on a 24-hour basis and presence of experienced technicians in case a real incident occurs in any area of the client Organisation’s responsibility
- Drawing –up drafts of the necessary documents and immediate mailing to the responsible offender as well as to the Insurance Company of the Ship or Vessel that caused the pollution
- Preparation of a file containing the client Organisation’s financial claims.
- Annual review of the Marine Oil Spill Response Contingency Plan of the client Organisation’s Port facilities as required by applicable legislation
