“Metopi” Environment Protection Consultants was founded in 1999.
Since 2003, METOPI specializes exclusively in the provision of Consulting Services related to the protection of the Marine Environment, a subject in which there is deep knowledge and experience.
During the years, Metopi has established itself as the best organized and experienced private entity in this sector and is considered as one of the fastest growing companies providing specialized services in Greece and abroad and delivering sustained outcomes.
As a result, Metopi holds today the largest market share in the Greek territory with a wide clientele of Public and Private Port and Marina Management Bodies.
Metopi and its experienced professionals help a diverse set of clients to address the need of measuring and minimizing their impact on the marine environment in alignment with related laws by offering supporting services consisting mainly of:

How we differ
Our Company, based on its business ethics, has made the strategic decision to contribute to the protection of the marine environment proactively by offering services that are not primarily related to making a profit from pollution incidents.
Based on the above decision, it differentiates itself from all the businesses which have different strategic objectives, like the anti-pollution companies, anti-pollution equipment trading companies or ship waste collection and management companies. For the last 20 years, Metopi has devoted itself exclusively to its advisory capacity of providing Consulting Services for the Protection of Marine Environment, an area in which it has unique theoretical and practical experience and knowledge.
Another important point of differentiation for us is the practical training of groups of people from the local communities with the aim of mobilizing them immediately in the event of a pollution incident in their place, so that they achieve the reduction of the time of expansion of the pollution.
Our commitment and practical contribution to the Protection of the Environment starts from our own home, where we have reduced our energy footprint by investing over the last 10 years in a 100% privately owned office building with zero CO2 emissions.
We are also focused on the continuous optimization of the working environment for the benefit of our greatest asset which is our people, Environmental Scientists, Environmental Engineers, Chemists and Geologists.
